The Rhos Fynach, now a beautifully restored pub and restaurant, was originally a 12th century monastery with secret tunnels linking it to the nearby tiny, 6th century, Chapel of St Trillo. This was the home to the monks who fished the weir off Rhos Point to provide the catch for the larger monastery in Conwy at the time. The oldest building in the area, built in 1181 AD, Rhos Fynach (literally meaning 'Monk's Marsh') offers haven, nourishment AND history for the weary traveller or the holidaying family!

Bar maid rude. Had table by fire and was so tempted to sign my name in dust on plant table. Lamb was fatty, lasagne was lovelly (not too cheesey). Think if yu dress up even for informal lunch; you would get better service at bar. We complained after attitude shown to us at paying.
